Rick Warren, author of the world famous book, The Purpose Driven Life once said that “a balanced church will celebrate God’s presence in worship, communicate God’s word in evangelism, incorporate God’s family in fellowship, educate God’s people in discipleship, and demonstrate God’s love in service.”

Putting this in a logical sequence we might describe the fivefold purpose of the church as Connecting people in fellowship, Growing people in Christ likeness, training them to Serve one another in ministry, sending them out to Proclaim Jesus and doing all this in a lifestyle of Worship.

One key step in implementing these purposes is C.L.A.S.S - Christian Life and Service Seminars. The baseball diamond serves as a useful imagery for C.L.A.S.S.

CLASS is offered three times a year, in January, April, and October. Each seminar is one 4-hour session held on a Sunday afternoon from 3:00 pm-7:00 pm with a break around 5:00 pm (when we serve a light dinner). Everyone is encouraged to take each of these 5 seminars. Together, they will lay a solid foundation for each of the 5 essential purposes for which we have each been created by God and redeemed by Christ. They have to be taken in sequence.
