DISCIPLESHIP AND MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES
Free Scholarship Workshop Tonight
Grades 11, 12 and high school graduates, along with their parents, are invited to a free Scholarship Workshop today, Nov 18, from 7:30-9:30 p.m. in the auditorium here at RAC. This is a hands-on, in-person seminar where we will break down the steps to completing scholarship applications. We will have teachers, guidance counsellors, and recent post-secondary graduates available to discuss and support in the scholarship application process. There will be a question & answer period at the end. Don't forget to sign up for the workshop HERE.
Mike Janzen Concert on Saturday
We are so excited to invite you to a special concert on Saturday, Nov 19 at 7 p.m. in the RAC auditorium. Mike Janzen will be performing many of his lament songs from his Psalms Project as a complement to our Good Grief? Good God? series. We encourage you to attend and invite others to join you for this evening of truth and music. There is a suggested but not obligatory donation of $5 to attend. Young Adults Paint Night & Mocktails
Young adults, please join us in the cafe after the Mike Janzen concert here on Nov 19. We will be getting creative with a paint night while enjoying some 'mocktails' together. Come for some fun and fellowship!
Ministry News Townhall this Sunday
There will be a Ministry News Townhall on Sunday, November 20 from 6-7 p.m. in the auditorium. We are inviting our church family to Join us for a time to hear ministry highlights and news and be encouraged with what God is doing at RAC. There will also be a time to ask questions. Annual General Meeting this Sunday
The Annual General Meeting will take place following the Ministry News Townhall, on November 20 at 7 p.m. All RAC members are requested to attend our Annual Meeting, however, attendance is open to all in our church community. Please be reminded that we require 50% of active members to attend in order for the meeting to proceed. Our Annual Meeting features the presentation of the audited financial statements and the election of RAC’s Board of Elders. All members will receive detailed information about the meeting via email or post.
The Praxis
The Praxis is continuing this Sunday at 8 a.m. in the Welcome Centre. We would like to extend a warm welcome to those considering joining our group of apprentices of Jesus who want to practice spiritual transformation into Christlikeness together. This week we will be exploring the theme of “acceptance” in the Cycle of Grace through Trevor Hudson’s teaching. We will have coffee and muffins, too! Hosted by Lynnette Missiuna. Youth - Alpha Refresh next Friday
As usual, Youth happens from 7-9 PM on the 2nd and 4th Friday of every month! Students in Grades 6-12 are welcome next Friday, Nov 25. We will be continuing our Youth Alpha series and joining other churches in the area! We are meeting at RAC this month! Register for Family Advent Party on Nov 27
Advent is "the arrival of a notable person, thing, or event." The special time when we look forward to celebrating Jesus' arrival on Earth at Christmas begins on November 27 this year. Let us come together with our families to celebrate the start of this season. It’s a time to fellowship as a church family through storytelling, carols, games, crafts and of course a family meal. Did we mention prizes also? Space is limited, so please make sure you act promptly to secure a space for your family and friends. Remembering Alan Nowers
We grieve with the passing of Alan Nowers on Monday, November 14th, after a time of battling Parkinsons. He was a loving husband to Jeannette and father to Jeff (Alison) and proud Grandpa to Ava. Thank you for remembering the family in your prayers, thank you.
- Visitation at Glendale Funeral Home at 1810 Albion Rd., Etobicoke, Tuesday, Nov. 22nd, 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- Visitation at Rexdale Alliance Church, Wednesday, Nov. 23rd, 10:00 a.m.
- Funeral at Rexdale Alliance Church, Wednesday, Nov. 23rd, 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception in the Youth Centre
**If you are able to contribute some finger food for the reception, that would be greatly appreciated; thank you! Items such as: sandwiches, veggie or fruit platters, sweets, cheese & cracker platters, etc. Please bring cut and ready to serve to the kitchen the morning of the funeral. Please note: we already have a full donation of samosas, thank you!
Remembering Marjorie Beaver
It is with sadness we share that Marjorie Beaver passed away on Tuesday, November 15th. It was quite unexpected even at her wonderful age of 91, as she recently enjoyed some visits from RAC friends. Please remember her sons in your prayers. Thank you!

Praise Report from Quizzers
Two teams of RAC quizzers and their leaders and chaperones travelled to Ottawa last weekend for their first quiz meet of the year. It was a fantastic time of fellowship with others. We had a great time quizzing. While our teams may have finished in the bottom half (out of 21 teams), we have many things to be thankful and happy for. A big thank you to those who volunteered to go and supervise the kids. We are grateful for the support of the church and those who prayed for this weekend.
