As we use our gifts to support the mission of the church, we grow in community, develop our faith, and help create spaces where people can experience God's love and belonging. There's a place for everyone to contribute.
NEXT GEN
The intentional ministry we do to encourage the personal and spiritual growth of those under age 18 (plus young adults).

The PowerKids Team seeks to develop spiritual champions and helps children build deep and lasting relationships with God.
We’re looking for team members to serve in the following roles:
Nursery Volunteers – Caring for the littlest members of our church!
Sunday School Teacher and Assistant – Help children discuss and learn about God in a variety of ways. **May require additional preparations prior to Sunday.
Sunday School Worship Team – lead children and tweens to encounter God through fun and engaging worship.
Hall Monitor or Check-in Attendant – Ensuring smooth operation of PowerKids Sunday School by welcoming and providing support to families from behind the scene.
Time Commitment: Serve on rotating schedule, usually during Sunday morning service

Parents Team helps shape the life of our Family Ministries by bringing your ideas, experience, and perspective to the table. You’ll work alongside other parents and the Family Ministries team to create opportunities for connection, encouragement, and spiritual growth.

Rex Youth seeks to be a safe place for students in Grades 6–12 to come as they are, build meaningful relationships, and grow in their relationship with Jesus through regular gatherings, activities, and special events.
We’re looking for team members to serve in the following roles:
Youth Leader – Build meaningful relationships with youth by helping create a welcoming, fun, and safe environment where students can be known, supported, and encouraged to grow in their relationship with Jesus.
Time Commitment: Participate as you’re able, including Friday night gatherings, occasional youth events, a weekend away for seasonal retreats, and 3–4 leadership team meetings throughout the ministry year.

The Rexdale Young Adults (RYA) seek community, relationship, and growth rooted in Jesus by connecting several times a month in different formats, including Bible studies, dinners, and social gatherings.
We’re looking for team members to serve in the following roles:
Leadership Team Member – Help foster community, relationships, and spiritual growth among young adults through program planning, relational leadership, and regular leadership-team preparation.
Time Commitment: Participate as you’re able, including one planning meeting each month, a Bible study every other week, and a dinner or social event on alternating weeks.
The intentional ministry toward men and women over age 18 to grow spiritually in faith and to connect to one another in Christian fellowship.
ADULTS

Alpha is a multi-week course that helps people explore life's biggest questions and discover the Christian faith through conversation, community, and learning. Our Alpha Team provides a welcoming environment where guests can connect with others, share their thoughts and experiences, and engage in meaningful discussion without pressure or judgment.
Time Commitment: 5 weeks in November or 8 weeks for new class after Easter
We’re looking for team members to serve in the following roles:
Host / facilitator - Leads the overall Alpha experience, welcomes guests, and helps create a safe space for exploring faith and asking questions. May be required to provide admin support and behind-the-scene planning.
Small Group Facilitator - Guides small group discussions, encourages participation, and helps guests feel heard and valued.
Hospitality Coordinator - Prepares refreshments and creates a warm, welcoming environment for guests.
Prayer Coordinator - Supports Alpha through prayer, coordinating with the team to pray for guests and ministry needs.

The Group Leadership Team helps people move from simply attending church to becoming part of a thriving community of faith. Through Life Groups and Spiritual Formation Classes, team members create welcoming environments where people can connect, learn, pray, and grow together.
We’re looking for team members to serve in the following roles:
Life Group Leaders – Facilitate the spiritual life of a group by gathering members, guiding discussions, planning schedules, and selecting curriculum or study materials.
Life Group Hosts – Open your home and provide a warm, welcoming environment where people can connect and grow together.
Spiritual Formation Class Leaders – Lead a class focused on discipleship, spiritual growth, and biblical learning, either through personal teaching or by facilitating established curriculum.
Hospitality Coordinator – Prepare coffee and light refreshments, helping create a welcoming atmosphere for classes and gatherings.
Time Commitment: Groups meet weekly, bi-weekly or monthly September to June or semester style if desired.

The Marriage Ministry Team helps couples at every stage of their relationship build strong, healthy, Christ-centered marriages. Through mentoring, encouragement, and guided relationship programs, this ministry equips couples with practical tools and spiritual support to strengthen their connection with one another and with God.
We're looking for team members to serve in the following roles:
Marriage Mentor – Journey alongside couples participating in SYMBIS, Re:Engage, or The Marriage Course, providing encouragement, wisdom, and support throughout the program.
Hospitality Coordinator – Prepare refreshments and help create a warm, welcoming environment for couples attending church-based gatherings.
Prayer Team Member – Support couples and the ministry through faithful prayer, covering participants, mentors, and program gatherings in prayer.
Time Commitment: Varies by program and participants. All programs requires multi-week commitment.

Join RAC in connecting Rexdale to Jesus and His mission by serving our local community, supporting our national and international workers, and helping create opportunities for people to experience the love of Jesus.
We’re looking for team members to serve in the following roles:
Mission Leadership Team – Help lead and support RAC’s missions ministry by caring for our national and international workers, praying for and communicating with them, supporting mission initiatives, and helping plan opportunities such as our annual Live Called event.
Time Commitment: Participate in a monthly leadership team meeting from September–June, along with additional time as needed for communication with workers, prayer, event planning, and other ministry opportunities.

The Prayer Team supports the spiritual life of our church by faithfully praying for people, ministries, and needs within our congregation. Through both personal prayer ministry and behind-the-scenes intercession, team members help create a culture of prayer where people can encounter God's presence, guidance, comfort, and power.
We’re looking for team members to serve in the following roles:
After-Service Prayer Partner – Pray with and encourage individuals after Sunday services, offering compassionate and Christ-centred prayer support alongside other team members.
Prayer Chain Team Member – Pray regularly for requests submitted throughout the week, supporting the needs of our church through faithful intercession.

The Women's Ministry Team creates opportunities for women to connect, build meaningful friendships, and grow in their relationship with God. Through Bible studies, special events, and shared experiences, this ministry helps women find encouragement, community, and spiritual growth in every season of life.
We're looking for team members to serve in the following roles:
Women's Bible Study Facilitator – Provide occasional teaching or facilitate discussion groups, helping women engage with Scripture and grow in their faith.
Women's Ministry Events Team – Assist with planning, organizing, and running events that foster connection, encouragement, and spiritual growth.
Hospitality Team – Prepare meals, snacks, or refreshments and help create a warm and welcoming environment for gatherings and events.
Time Commitment: Varies depending on the role, event, or Bible study schedule.
WORSHIP PRODUCTION

The Music Team seeks to be worshippers who lead others in worship. They work to prepare our worship services, striving to make music with excellence while helping others grow in their gifting and leading songs that glorify God.
We’re looking for team members to serve in the following roles:
Singer – Lead and support congregational singing through confident vocals, harmonies, and a posture of worship that helps the church engage with God.
Instrumentalist – Support congregational worship through skilled and collaborative musicianship, following arrangements and responding to the direction and dynamics of the team. Primary instruments include but are not limited to: piano, guitar, bass, drums.
Admin Support – Provide behind-the-scenes organization and coordination to help the worship team communicate, prepare, and serve effectively.
Time Commitment: Serve on a rotating schedule, Thursday evening and Sunday morning per week, typically one or two weeks per month, with additional opportunities for special events/services and training.

Do you have an eye or ear for detail and a heart for worship? The Audio/Visual team helps create an environment where people can clearly hear, see, and respond to what God is doing. Working behind the scenes, team members play a vital part in supporting worship, prayer, and teaching, helping every service run smoothly while minimizing distractions.
We’re looking for team members to serve in the following roles:
Audio Technician – Mix live worship and speaking elements to ensure clear, balanced, and excellent sound for both the congregation in-house and online.
Display Operator – Run lyrics, sermon slides, and media content with accuracy and timing to support worship and teaching moments.
Time Commitment: Serve on a rotating Sunday schedule, typically once or twice per month, with additional opportunities for special events and training.

The Livestream Team extends the worship experience beyond our church walls, helping people stay connected and engaged wherever they are. Through video production, storytelling, and technical excellence, team members help share what God is doing in our church with those joining online or watching later.
You don’t need to be a professional, we’ll provide training and hands-on development.
We’re looking for team members to serve in the following roles:
Camera Operator – Capture worship, teaching, and key moments with creativity and attentiveness, helping tell the story of each service.
Video Switcher – Direct the livestream by selecting camera shots, managing transitions, and shaping the online worship experience in real time.
Time Commitment: Serve on a rotating schedule on Sundays, typically from 9:30 am to 11:30 am.
WELCOME
The intentional ways we seek to welcome people to our services and make the service as a whole welcoming and accessible.

Our Integration Team helps people move from visiting to belonging. Through warm greetings, helpful guidance, and intentional connections, this team creates an environment where people feel welcomed, noticed, and at home from the moment they arrive.
We're looking for team members to serve in the following roles:
Greeter and Usher – Welcome attendees, provide guidance and practical assistance as needed; create a warm, comfortable, and inviting experience from the moment people arrive.
Connect Desk Team Member – Answer questions, share information, and help people find their next step in the life of the church.
Muffin Mingle Team – Prepare and serve post-service refreshments once a month, creating opportunities for guests and attendees to connect, build relationships, and feel part of the church community.
Time Commitment: Sunday mornings on a rotating schedule.

The Parking Lot Team helps create a positive first impression by welcoming people before they even step through the church doors. Through friendly greetings, clear directions, and practical assistance, team members help guests and attendees arrive safely, park easily, and begin their Sunday morning smoothly.
We're looking for team members to serve in the following role:
Parking Attendant – Help create a positive arrival experience by providing a friendly welcome and direction for parking and traffic flow.
Time Commitment: Sunday mornings on a rotating schedule. Team members typically arrive 30 minutes before the service begins.
HELPING HANDS
The many ways we minister and serve practically so to create an environment where others can grow personally and spiritually.

Neighbourhood Connections (NC) is a unique worship and community gathering designed for people who may not typically attend church and feel more comfortable in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Each Tuesday, guests are invited to enjoy a hot meal, access foodbank support, build relationships, and experience the love of Christ through authentic community and compassionate care.
We're looking for team members to serve in the following roles:
General Volunteer — Help create a welcoming experience for guests by assisting with food preparation and distribution, setting up and cleaning up shared spaces, organizing donations, and building relationships with those who attend.
Time Commitment: Tuesdays, typically between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Volunteers may serve in one or more areas depending on their availability and interests.

The Office Admin team helps support the day-to-day ministry of RAC by providing a welcoming presence and ensuring essential administrative tasks run smoothly. From greeting visitors and responding to inquiries to organizing resources and maintaining records, this team plays an important behind-the-scenes role in helping our church serve people effectively.
We're looking for team members to serve in the following role:
Office Volunteer – Provide administrative and hospitality support by welcoming visitors, assisting with office tasks, organizing resources, and helping the church office run smoothly.
Time Commitment: Flexible. Volunteers typically serve during office hours (Monday to Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) based on their availability.

The Facilities Team helps prepare the spaces where ministry happens. Through practical care, maintenance, and hospitality, this team supports worship services, ministry programs, and community events by ensuring our church building is safe, welcoming, and ready to serve others.
We're looking for team members to serve in the following roles:
Custodial Team Member – Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming facility by assisting with room setup and teardown, responding to facility needs, and supporting the upkeep of church spaces.
Rentals Host/Hostess – Welcome renters, provide facility support, oversee building access, and help ensure a positive experience for community groups using our spaces.
Decorating Team Member – Collaborate with others to design and create engaging visual environments that enhance special services, events, and seasonal celebrations.
Time Commitment: Varies by role. Opportunities are available on Sunday mornings, evenings, weekends, and as facility needs arise.

The Kitchen & Hospitality Team provides behind-the-scenes support that helps ministries, events, and gatherings feel welcoming and well cared for. Through food preparation, refreshments, organization, and hospitality, this team creates opportunities for people to connect, build relationships, and experience a warm sense of community.
We're looking for team members to serve in the following roles:
General Team Member – Support ministry events and programs through food preparation, kitchen organization, inventory management, setup, and cleanup.
Muffin Mingle Team – Prepare and serve post-service refreshments once a month, creating opportunities for guests and attendees to connect, build relationships, and feel part of the church community.
Time Commitment: Flexible and dependent on ministry schedules and event needs.
Please note that some roles may require completion of the Food Handler Course and kitchen certification.

The Special Projects Team connects willing volunteers with one-time and occasional opportunities throughout the year. It's a flexible way to use your gifts, support the mission of the church, and make a meaningful impact when extra help is needed.
By joining the Special Projects Team, you'll be notified when special projects or one-time needs arise. You may be contacted when a project matches your skills, interests, or availability.
We're looking for volunteers who are willing to jump in when unique needs arise, helping with special events, seasonal décor, renovations, practical projects, manual labour, or other one-time needs that help our church community flourish.
Time Commitment: Flexible. Serve on a project-by-project basis as your schedule allows.
