We praise God for the end of another week and for His faithfulness! What a great week we have had officially beginning the school year and reflecting on what it means to choose joy after last week's service!

To make announcements as accessible as possible, we will be publishing the weekly newsletter at www.rexdalealliance.ca from now on! You will find a new button on the home page, 'Events & Weekly News', and a link to 'Blog' under Resources. For your convenience, we will continue emailing you weekly newsletter notifications as well. Please note: if you request to have an announcement made in the newsletter, it will be published online and will be visible to the public.
DISCIPLESHIP AND MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES
Opportunity to Use Your Spiritual Gifts
Has learning about the spiritual gifts and seeing others use theirs inspired you to get involved in some way? Have you been desiring to use your gifts but aren’t sure where or how? This Sunday, there will be an opportunity to volunteer to use your gifts in various ministries here at the church! Please prayerfully consider how you will get involved. The church needs your gifts! (TAKE THE SPIRITUAL GIFTS TEST)
RexMen Breakfast This Saturday Morning
All men are invited to a breakfast this Sat, Sept 10 from 8 - 9:30 AM in the church parking lot under the tent! Come and enjoy fellowship outside and a meal together. The cost is only $5. Please REGISTER.
Young Adults BBQ This Saturday Evening
There will be a BBQ this Sat, Sept 10 from 6-9 PM in the RAC Parking Lot! Young adults aged 18-29 are welcome. Feel free to bring a treat or a side to share and bring a friend too! Be sure to REGISTER so we know you are coming and so you can be entered in a contest to win a free Amazon gift card! Be sure you are following us on Instagram: @rexdaleyoungadults for updates.
S.E.A.N. Course:

Orientation Seminar on Sun., Sept. 11 after the morning service in the Welcome Centre. Classes begin Mon, Sept 19.
Foundations Class
Join us in person in the Youth Centre or online for the Foundations Class where you will build a strong base for your faith! All materials provided! There will be videos, group discussion, homework & more! Begins Sept. 12 at 7-9 PM. Class will continue for 8 weeks excluding Sept 26, Oct 10 & 31; ends Nov 2. Women's Monday Evening Bible Study on Zoom
Beginning Mon., Sept. 12 at 7:30 PM and runs for 7 weeks. There is room for 4 women to join an evening Bible study on Isaiah: Striving Less and Trusting God More by Melissa Spoelstra. It will be hosted by Ruth Cairns over Zoom. Order your own workbook on Amazon. Contact: ruthcairns93@gmail.com
Women's Thursday Morning Bible Study

Soul Care Interactive Book Study
Brokenness grasps for the soul of humanity….we need the healing touch of Jesus. - Reimer
Both men & women will benefit from exploring the 7 principles of Soul Care that are profound healing tools of God. Join Paul & Cheryl as they share their personal story and help guide you through the principles as we wrestle, surrender and seek Him together. Bob Gidden
We wish to extend our condolences to Jan Gledhill who lost her brother, Bob Gidden, on Sept. 5 after a short battle with cancer. He leaves behind his wife, children and grandchildren. Please keep his family in your prayers.
Praise Report - Nelson RamosThank you for your continued prayers for our dear brother, Nelson Ramos, and his family. We praise God because he has made significant progress in his recovery following the accident and assault he suffered in 2020. In addition, his family have received their visas and they will be landing in Canada on Sept 16th. Thankfully, they have housing which they are able to rent at a very reasonable rate. A booster seat is needed for Nelson's granddaughter before Sept 16. If you have one, please contact mmarkos@rexdalealliance.ca.
SERVICE AND PRAYER OPPORTUNITIES
